The ffmpeg libraries are one example of an important component which may not be the correct ones. I am sure there will be some library mismatches and wrong version numbers. The new release features experimental support for Chromecast. Maybe I should have configured LIBDIR=/usr/lib/x86_64-lixux-gnu as this seems to be where most of the libraries go. This experimental build was configured with the default LIBDIR=/usr/lib which works OK in Fossa it seems.
